Our story began in 1998, nestled in a backyard in Leucadia, California, where the dream of crafting custom surfboards took flight. What started as a personal passion has grown into a vibrant community of surfers, board builders, artists, and friends who share a love for the ocean and the thrill of riding waves.

At BYB, we believe in the artistry of surfboard shaping. Our boards are meticulously crafted in Oceanside, California, at Global Glassing, where our Lead Shaper, Pat Mulhern, brings decades of experience and creativity to each design. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your surfing journey, we create custom boards tailored to your unique style and the conditions you ride in.

But we’re more than just surfboards. We are a family business that values the core surf communities around the world. Our soft goods, including hats and T-shirts, are proudly printed in nearby Encinitas by Shatto & Sons T-Shirt Designs, ensuring every piece reflects our commitment to quality and local craftsmanship.
